CONCERT FUNDRAISER IS AN ENORMOUS HIT!

What makes a good community? What requirements go into have a great club culture? Who are the stakeholders and beneficiaries of a strong family environment off the pitch?

Well, answers can vary, but after our recent concert we put on, we have an idea as to what will help. After all, there’s more than one way to build something worth rallying around.

The feeling amongst the Green & White faithful has been very optimistic as of late. Rugby is back, the team is playing well, and most importantly, everyone seems to be enjoying themselves both on AND off the field!

Last Friday night, the Barbos packed out our sponsor bar, Bierstadt Lagerhaus, for a concert fundraiser. To those who attended the magical night, thank you. The Barbos sold a total of 300 tickets, with 281 attending. More than we’ve had at a Barbos social event in a long time!

It really was special seeing the club let their hair down and enjoy an off-night from rugby. The BarboFam grew a lot closer over the course of the night, and the club managed to raise some money in the process. In total, the club double profit expectations which will go a long way to funding the Nationals run this spring. The ‘Silent Bachelor Auction’ held on the evening garnered $1,500 alone (or about $215 for each of the 7 bachelors).

For those who missed out on the inaugural concert, fear not. Rumor has it, there’s already talks about how next years concert can be bigger, better, and more fun than this years.

The journey continues Saturday, as your Denver Barbarians face their toughest challenge yet… The American Raptors. Rebranded from the 2020 Colorado Raptors who competed in Major League Rugby. Their program has evolved into an incubator of cross-over athlete talent. Saturday’s match will be the ultimate test.
