MEET MALIK BRYANT

Having top speed doesn’t always translate to the best rugby player, but CHANGE in SPEED can break open a game, and Malik has burst. His explosion is undeniable, but his burst into rugby is even more impressive. After getting his first taste for the game back in his home state of Florida with FIU, he returned to the sport through the Colorado XO program. After showing out in the 2021 summer season for the Barbos (highlights below), he hasn’t looked back. He continues to bring a professional level of hard work and dedication to crafting his skills and improving his rugby.

Malik is a fierce competitor between the lines, but off the pitch he’s a bright light in a world of darkness. His humble, calm nature perpetuates a soothing / relaxing feeling … the type of friend you want to talk to after a tough day. His smile is infectious, and he’s an extremely reliable teammate. Whether he’s rockin’ his long dreads, or buzzin’ it short, his hair game is always on point.

Last summer Malik was the leading scorer for the Barbos 7’s, can he repeat this year? He’s got plenty of teammates that can break the line this year, but Malik is a born finisher.

Be sure to watch Malik burn up and down the pitch this weekend on The Rugby Network.
