MEET ERIC SYKES

If you know Skyes, you know he likes to “Let Em Know” who he is on the pitch. After winning a stack of championships (between his college team NM Vatos, his club the Denver Barbos, and two Rugbytown titles with Rocky Mountain 7’s Selects), players SHOULD know who he is. The man goes hard in the contact zone, backing down to no one. But more importantly than sheer physicality, Sykes brings a confidence that comes naturally to born leaders. Don’t mistake it for arrogance or pride, it’s the confidence of a person who has conquered more and more each year, and continues to push with one more rugby goal in his sights, which he is eager as anyone to conquer. A 7s National Championship!

Sykes not only leads the team, but was instrumental in recruitment as well. He continues to shine as a communicator, enforcer and mentor for his teammates and Denver Barbarian community.
